Principal’s Message
Welcome to Cirby Elementary School!
Home of the Eagles!
I am incredibly excited to be a part of the Cirby School family! This marks my 25th year in education. Prior to becoming a principal, I taught grades 2-6 in the Twin Rivers Unified School District and also served as an Assistant Principal in both Grass Valley and Yuba City. This is now my third year at Cirby as the principal. I am extremely lucky to have such a hard-working, dedicated, and knowledgeable staff. I couldn’t have asked for a better school to lead!
We are going to continue to do great things here at Cirby! Believing in all students and doing what is best for kids is my philosophy. In doing that, it takes families, staff, myself, and the community to ensure that our Cirby Eagles reach the highest level of success possible. Recognizing students for their achievements and guiding them to become responsible, respectful citizens is a priority at Cirby. At Cirby, we show respect, make good decisions, and solve problems.
I have lived in West Roseville for 25 years. My husband, who is also a 5th grade teacher, flag football and wrestling coach at West Park High School, and I have 5 children as a blended family. Our son graduated from Roseville High School and he is now a firefighter in the Air Force. He is currently stationed in Texas. We have four daughters. Two are starting their freshman years of college and two are sophomores at West Park High School. We are constantly on the go with softball, flag football, wrestling and umpiring. We have two dogs; Carlos is a 6 year old boxer, and Jack is a 4 year old bulldog. We also have a 2 year old cat named Gus and a 2 year old cat named Beau. Our house is a circus but we love it!
I look forward to making this school year a successful and memorable one for our students, families, and staff. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns, or even just stop in to say hello and introduce yourself! You can reach me at FFriend@rcsdk8.org.
